SXSW

i've got a topic!

who-all is going to stick around during spring break/sxsw? are people getting wristbands or badges or what have you?

i've got 2 (two) friends coming to stay. i want to intro them to all of you if you're going to be here. but we've decided not to buy those expensive-ass wristbands.

Friends are coming the 11th and the 13th, staying through the 18th. I'd heard pretty much the same thing about the structure of admission - that it would be possible to go to some shows, just not like Belle & Sebastian or something.

I'll be around- Michelle is coming down for Spring Break.

I hear a good tactic is to go to the band/label showcases on SoCo/6th during the day- labels are desperate for exposure and will dole out free beer and eats, apparently.

Aside from that. I think I'd like to try and get to see a couple of actual shows also. The word on the street is that one should formulate a rough plan rather than ping around the quieter venues, but I am sure both tactics would yield interesting results.
