Oh man. I would hope to be able to tell you that you'll have better luck with an Apple, because mine is okay, so far. But my friend Mira just lost her "logic board" on her Apple, which is supposedly a major Apple product malfunction after a couple of years. I am about to be obsessive about backup.
Update:
$500 (this is on the very cheap side for hard drive recovery) later and I have most of my notes and pics back (though not all). Is there any way to blame the Russians for this?
Who else could you blame?
